I had a very busy yesterday and since I started working out, I got home really tired and needed to rest my head to prepare for today, I barely laid my tired body on the bed before my phone rang out loud beside my ears, Oohh, I reluctantly rolled over and got it, it was my colleague calling, I could barely hear him but soon it struck me……Michael Jackson is dead he said; then I woke up, are you joking? I asked him? Then he ran out of airtime….
I went back to bed only to get to the office this morning and saw the news, the thriller is dead, the man who loved the Liberian girl can no longer get her, his short trousers that reveal his ankle would no longer have high patronage. For sometime now I have been writing a lot on motivating others and I feel to an extent I’m following the steps of my mentor and this has made me think what I’m really turning into, I wonder how my words and my decision affect those around me, I have a friend and colleague I met barely 6 months ago and we have shared ideas and knowledge for this long and I only noticed that who you are is determined by the quality of people you interact with, your network is your networth,.(yes It’s you Chukwudi). We sit sometime and reminisce about the future and how we would build the next biggest company that would shake the world…well at least Nigeria, and trust me you would hear about it soon, we also have made decisions that well might just be our step into reality.
Life is full of surprises, there are definitely good times and bad times, those times when you wake up with a full smile on the face and when you go to bed with a bad frown, times when the world seems to be closing up in you, times when everything looks so black, you might have passed through these times before when it seemed that the logical thing was to give up and give in, to throw away your dreams and embrace existence, I have too.
I left where I was because things didn’t look like it again, it became obvious that I wasn’t making head ways so I moved on, but the advantage of staying put is consistency would show off and success is inevitable. Albert Einstein said it correctly when he said; Genius is 1% inspiration and 99% perspiration. Even when you are doing the right thing, do it to till luck comes.
